“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
— Ephesians 3:20-21
Mission Update
As we approach the Christmas season and start of a new year, I can’t help but reflect on Ephesians 3:20-21. As you are aware, I joined Ashes to Glory Foundation as Executive Director in July, leaving the business world to follow the Lord’s calling in my life. It was scary, yet I felt complete peace with my decision to join my parents in this mission. God has repeatedly brought this verse to life over the past five months.
Our family has been in awe of the abundant encouragement we have received from many of you, as well the generous financial support to Ashes to Glory Foundation as we enter this new and exciting season ourselves. By His grace and through your generous donations, Ashes to Glory Foundation continues to assist families and individuals attain Christ-centered transformation from addiction and destructive habits. Thank you, and praise be to our Creator!
In October, we reached the milestone of our 450th family helped, spanning 45 states/provinces.
Number of Families Helped
Last 12 Months: 82
Total since 2012: 452
Over the past year, your generous donations have enabled 82 families to start the journey of healing! Again, we rejoice in God’s faithfulness! Ashes to Glory Foundation was started with the intent of helping those struggling with substance abuse, but it has since grown to also include assistance with sexual addiction, technology abuse, and trauma. Oftentimes it is easy to assume that only certain demographics are hit, however you would be amazed at the variety of families that reach out to us! We have helped:
- Missionary and pastoral families
- Families whose children are struggling with the complexities of adoption
- Families that have chosen to go the private, homeschool, and public school route
- Men AND women who are actively involved in church who are fighting sexual addiction
- And many other common scenarios
Satan does not discriminate, but “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) I’m continually hit with the unfortunate reality that the need is endless and growing. A recent study found that 1 in 4 people experience addiction either personally or with a close family member. We receive significantly more applications than our available funds allow us to help.
The costs of quality (Christ-centered AND clinically sound) treatment also continue to increase significantly, and insurance rarely provides sufficient help. This creates a gap where many affected families are forced to choose between stripping themselves financially bare or watching their loved ones continue to suffer. That is where Ashes to Glory Foundation steps in. We all have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by helping to fund the recovery gap!
Looking forward to 2025, I hope to meet many of you in the coming year as I look to gain more speaking opportunities to share our story and what God’s doing in and through the Ashes to Glory Foundation. If your church or ministry is open to me coming to share, please contact us. Thank you so much for all of your continued support, and above all else, may God be glorified!!
-Brandon Bahr, Executive Director

“Ashes to Glory blessed us with assisting in helping us pay for my son’s care. 5 years later, he is now serving in the USAF, about to get engaged and living a life guided by Christ. You have no idea how much your organization helped us in our darkest hour. This program shows that people are out here to help you when you need it most.”
